Volunteers Needed!
The Wayzata Historical Society
has been in existence for more than twenty
years and is always looking for volunteers. There are numerous opportunities to
become involved in preserving the history of Wayzata and volunteering with
the Wayzata Historical Society. Please email us at:

interested in donating time, energy, money or articles and pictures. We'll
be sure to match your expertise with our needs.

Below are a few committees that could use your
help:
- Archives Committee
- Communication Committee (newspaper ads,
press releases, website, etc.)
- Depot & Merchandise Committee
- Membership Committee
- Newsletter Committee (writing, producing,
publishing, distribution, etc.)
- Oral History Committee
- Program Committee
- Research Committee
- Special Events Committee
- Website Committee
We also need help with the following specific projects:
- Photography of Events
- Fundraising
- Sorting and Scanning pictures into albums
and categories
- Station Agents- Great people on the weekends
at the station
- Write a column or newsletter for the local
paper and our Quarterly Telegraph
- Update membership list on database
- Help with mailings
- Interview residents and record orally
- Transcribe audio tapes into written format
Donation Requests
Donations of pictures, memorabilia,
and Wayzata artifacts are always accepted! Just bring them down to the
Wayzata Depot during the weekends or contact us with what you have and we will
make the necessary arrangements to have the donation acquired.
